Ontem em Chorzów como se esperava os U2 interpretaram o New Year's Day dedicado ao Movimento de Soliedariedade Polaca. Durante este tema o público, tal como em 2005, levantou cartazes vermelhos e brancos, côres da bandeira polaca, formando uma bela imagem no Slaski Stadium.
Antecedendo o aniversário de The Edge, a banda fez uma celebração simbólica. Bono junto com público dedicou-lhe os parabéns antes e depois do tema Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of This, sendo que no primeiro o público cantou em polaco.

A Trilogia de Dublin

Dublin vestiu-se de U2 para receber os filhos pródigos. Não havia bar ou restaurante de Dublin onde não se ouvisse os temas dos U2 uns atrás dos outros e as ruas enchiam-se de fãs de todo o mundo numa celebração ímpar da banda.
Como sempre os U2 deram tudo em casa e proporcionaram três concertos brilhantes com setlists variadas. Os 3 concertos de Croke Park tiveram larga participação de dezenas de portugueses (incluindo todo o Team U2Portugal) que não se cansaram de puxar pela banda. Com a noite a cair mais tarde que no sul da Europa, os concertos de Dublin começaram de dia e acabaram de noite, trazendo uma atmosfera diferente do habitual.
A primeira noite supreendeu pela inclusão de alguns temas menos tocados ao longo desta digressão, tais como Bad, Until The End Of The World e Elevation. A banda esteve em grande forma, num concerto com muita garra.
A segunda noite teve um setlist mais tipico da U2 360° Tour, com a chuva a fazer a sua aparição a meio do concerto. Mas ninguém pareceu estar incomodado, em especial a banda, com Bono a alterar a letra de um brilhante Unknown Caller, fazendo referência à chuva que caia. Bono menciona Portugal no fim de City Of Blinding Lights depois de ver alguns fãs na primeira fila com cachecois e bandeiras.
Na terceira noite esperava-se algumas surpresas e elas vieram na forma de New Year's Day, Stay (Faraway, So Close!) e um improvisado Bad a fechar o set principal. A banda mostrou-se mais cansada e de certa forma ainda mais emotiva fazendo inúmeras referências aos fãs que vieram dos 4 quantos do planeta e à família que assistia ao concerto.
Pelo meio a U2Portugal levou cerca de 50 fãs a Moydrum Castle, imortalizado na capa de The Unforgettable Fire. Numa viagem pelo country-side irlandês, com o álbum em repeat, não faltou a chuva e muita alegria e emoção, a fazer lembrar aventuras passadas.

Dizem os relatos de quem esteve presente que ontem foi uma grande noite em Amesterdão. Para delírio dos fãs presentes os U2 deram algumas voltas a setlist habitual e estrearam 3 temas nesta tour: Elevation, Until The End Of The World e Bad. As ausências mais notadas foram dos temas Unknow Caller e The Unforgettable Fire.
Ainda houve tempo para um 'snippet' de Drowning Man durante o Moment Of Surrender. Foi um excelente aperitivo para o que poderá vir a acontecer nos próximos concertos em em Dublin.

Os U2 ontem regressaram a Berlim onde apresentaram uma agradável surpresa, o tema Stay (Faraway, So Close!), o primeiro do álbum Zooropa a ser utilizado na 360º Tour e que não era tocada desde os tempos da Elevation Tour.
Curiosamente este tema também fez parte da banda sonora do filme Wings Of Desire, do cineasta alemão Win Wenders, cuja trama se desenvolve na cidade de Berlim.
Durante o encore Bono cantou os parabéns a Nelson Mandela.
